Wholesale heels and occasion shoes in the UK
Heels and occasion styles sell in lower volume than flats, but at much higher retail prices — which makes them some of the best-margin lines a footwear reseller can carry. Here is how to buy them well.
1. Margin is the attraction
A heeled sandal or court shoe that costs £8–£11 a pair at wholesale commonly retails at £25–£40. Because customers buy occasion shoes for an event, not on price comparison, the margin holds up better than on everyday styles. Divide the carton price by 12 to get your per-pair cost before you commit.
2. Follow the calendar
Demand spikes around wedding season (May to September), Eid, party season and the December holidays. Stock up four to six weeks ahead. UK-held stock matters here: if a style takes off before a busy weekend, a London-dispatched reorder arrives in days, while an overseas reorder arrives after the moment has passed.
3. Keep colours safe
Black, nude, gold and silver outsell fashion colours on occasion styles by a wide margin. Take most of your cartons in the safe colours and treat bold colours as small tests.
4. Mix heel heights
Customers split roughly between low block heels, mid heels and higher occasion heels. A carton of each height in a similar style covers the whole demand without tripling your stock.
